My wife of 35 years and I live in Charlotte, North Carolina having moved from upstate New York in 1999. I am an industrial engineer that has worked in the manufacturing industry for the last 30 years. Prior to that I was in the United States Marine Corps in the early 1980’s.
My interest in physics, during my college years, inspired me to give the website a worthy name. The Arrow of Time is basically a symbol of how time only flows in one direction thus “Time’s Arrow”. In Einstein’s relativity, time is considered to be a 4th dimension. If you really want to shake things up a bit, try asking your friends to define what time is, and you will get some interesting answers.
I started seriously woodworking about 2 years ago. It all started with a cutting board I made back in high school that had been collecting dust in the garage for the last 45 years. My thoughts were to revive the board by cleaning it up and cutting a juice groove into it. It could then be used for when I was making BBQ.
When it comes to woodworking tools it is like a Lays potato chip where you just can’t have one. A router was purchased and shortly after that a thickness planer. I was amazed at seeing some of the interesting things that people were making. The problem was that I always needed just one more tool to make the next project. Over the course of time, I now have a workshop of tools and raw materials that allows me to make just about anything you can imagine.
It brings us a tremendous amount of joy when we present someone with something I’ve made and you see their excitement in receiving it. It is my hope that the wood products I create will stand the test of time.

This console table was made from White Oak that was re-purposed from an 80+ year old utility table. The design is from Katz-Moses and was scaled to match the salvaged wood from the original table. It now sits in our entrance way where it can be seen everyday.
